Droog Fort is a historical site about 15 km south of the Nilgiris foothills. According to mythology, a demon once lived in the fort, which is why it is also known as Bakasura Malai. It also served as an outpost for Tipu Sultan in the 18th century, and it is now a decaying ruin with only a wall left.
